Default Wanna buy a nice suspension setup...any suggestions?

Ok, im a college student, let me stress that so i dont have a whole crap load of money to spend on a suspension setup...but i would like to get a nice stiff suspension setup. It doesnt have to be crazy stiff but somewhat rideable where im not bouncing around all the time. I can possibly spend 500 and no more. I would really like fully adjustable coilovers but like i said...a setup like that could range from 500 and on...Help me out guyz...Whats a nice set of springs/struts i can purchase??

Not brand new. GC's are $300 by themselves. Tokico Illuminas are close to $350-$400 I believe.

another really important question is what you want the car to ride like. the skunk2 pro s coilover is $600 shipped from a lota places. however, they aren't really caddy style in regards to ride quality. tight and firm. you also could do the new non adjustable koni shock for $300 and a good lowering spring for under $200. the tein s and h tech come to mind since they are based on ITR spring rates and actually set your front/back height correctly unlike so many others. the GC/koni sport is a forum fav and a great setup. i just have no idea if you want to spend what they cost. at $850 you start wondering about apexi N1's and PIC and a host of others. then 850 becomes 1200 and you have a sick setup.

for roughly $480 shipped you could do koni non adjustables and one of the tein springs. just select which drop you want. the h tech is 300f 250r rate wise and the s tech is something like 30-40lbs stiffer but quite a bit lower. if you haul stuff or have rough roads the h tech is great. if you want to look dropped you'll like the S

or you could buy these

Omnis are not bad at all man. They are budget coilovers and they work.
Yes, they did have problems when they first came out years ago.

Have you ever ridden on a set of NICE coilovers? What measuring stick are you using for saying Omnis are not bad at all?

For the price of crappy coilovers (Omnis) or less, he could have a quality lowering spring/shock combo OR a GC and Koni combo.

Nice springs/shocks > Crappy coilovers any day.

I've ridden on the taiwan special Omni, D2, Megan whatevers. It's a decent ONE DIMENSIONAL coilover..meaning they work well at controlling the car's roll on smooth surfaces. But really nothing else. Damping sucks. Longevity sucks.
