I recently replaced my fuel pump with a walbro and ever since then fuel and air has been leaking out of the creases of the little rubber gasket. I just replaced the gasket with a brand new one OEM from honda and guess what...ITS STILL LEAKING!
I dont want to tighten the nuts that hold the pump in the tank anymore than they already are because i will end up breaking them or striping them out. Iv even cleaned the seal twice and put it back on figuring maby there was dirt around it keeping it from sealing?? **** knows.
Im positive its leaking from there is because when its running not only can i see gas but i can feel air coming out from above it, and when i remove my gas cap i get no compression sound from the tank like it has lost all vacuum. I can also smell raw gas when at idle at a light.
Questions:
1. Has anybody else ever have this problem??
2. If so how did you fix it?
3.Is there a sealant i can but for an easy fix that wont erode from gasoline??
And to top it all off my car is idling like **** b/c of it. haha So please help!
