Default B18B Auto into 92->95 civic

If i swap a B18B Auto into a Civic 92-95

Do I have to buy a 92-95 civic auto in order for the tranny mounts to line up ? Would it just make a lot of things easier with the swap into it ? As for the ECU and Gauge cluster .. a 3rd gen LS nteg ECU and Cluster should swap in right ? no special connectors ? as for the radiator ... can i install the bigger Nteg auto radiator ? as for the auto shifter and linkage ... can i use the civic shifter and cable that attaches to the tranny ... or do i need to swap the LS parts in as well? I take it the LS integra Disc brakes are bigger rotors as well ?

thanx to all that can help answer some of these questions

Ever considered a new car
A manual one if your gunna waste money on a auto to manual conversion you might as well find a civic with fresh paint to start building

You want to put an auto swap into your manual Civic?

Is that what you mean?

I've heard of somebody doing it before. They said it was a ton of work and a ton of wires and not worth the trouble. I would just sell that LS block and put the money toward something else. Is there any reason why you wanted to stick with an automatic tranny?

I have tried doing a B18b automatic swap into a 95 DX automatic hatch. We got the motor in and the car started but we could not get the tranny to change gears. I found out the next day that auto integras have either there own ecu for the tranny or there is a lot of more wiring involved to make it work. I smacked my friend on the side of his head and taught him how to drive stick and just converted the car to a 5 speed. Moral of the story is if you have a auto b18b swap then buy a 94+ auto integra with no engine and throw it there.

TTT

will a B18B Auto tranny bolt into the chasis fine of a (92-95 civ Auto) ? If i change out the ECU to a LS Auto ECU would that be all thats needed to make this puppy run ? or does the Auto shifter and SHifter cable from the LS need to be installed as well ? what about the Gauge cluster ?

The shop I work at has done an auto LS swap into a 1997 Civic 4-door that was already an auto-matic as well.

It's a bitch.

The motor/tranny will not bolt in if it's anything like the 1997 Civic. Not only did we have to fabricate a mount, but we had to trim the UNIBODY because the LS auto tranny is WAY bigger than your Civic's tranny will be.

So after it's mounted in, guess what?

You get to have a nightmare in the form of a check engine light because of the auto tranny ECUs not matching up quite right. We've got an LS ECU, a CR-V ECU, a Civic ECU - none of them work right.

You do not want to try this swap at home, and the labor will shoot through the roof at a shop once they realize all the work envolved. My shop quoted a price and although the labor was actually like 10 hours more we stuck to the quoted price - I doubt any other shop will do that because it's quite an ordeal.

I know others are flaming you and all, but it's probably because swapping in an auto is just such a bad idea. Even if you ignore the obvious reasons I've stated above, just know that it will still be slow as **** even *if* you somehow manage to get it to work. I highly doubt you'll get it to work though, because it took a few highly accomplished techs with lots of electrical background and a god welder to get this one just to run and shift gears - but that damn CEL is still on.

Trust me FROM EXPERIENCE!

Just sell the auto tranny and find a manual tranny and then find a manual Civic. This will be SO much easier.
