LS Auto into EG civic
Does anyone have any information about swapping an Acura LS automatic into 1992-1995 EG civic (coupe OR 4-door)
Any links or first-hand information about this possible swap would be greatly appreciated...I've come up dry in my search for information on this swap; I even Googled every possible word combination (LS auto into civic, Auto LS civic, Automatic LS civic conversion, etc etc etc) and still no luck.
I have no interest in an auto-to-manual conversion, so if anyone can point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful.

if your keeping it auto... you will need to cut out the subframe of your trani side to fit the auto tranny.. after that you will need to wire up the TCM trans control module ... which oyu have to also get the auto from an integif your switching to manual .. if your car is an auto you need to get the auto to manual mount and all the shift linkageand tranny stuff

Re: LS Auto into EG civic (ShowTymers619)
I'm definately keeping the auto..... Would i really need to cut part of my subframe or can i simply install an integra subframe? I have an entire front clip from an automatic integra, so I have full access to all mechanicals/electronics
thanks

Re: LS Auto into EG civic (^CX_d16)
I want to keep an automatic transmission in my daily driver. Right now the car has a mildly built auto D16Z6, and I would like to swap in the larger, more powerful LS auto.

Re: LS Auto into EG civic (midenginecivic)
we are doing the same swap at my shop...the owners car...92 dx 97 LS auto..
we used the whole swap...suspension, rack , mounts, harness...blah, blah, blah...we got the whole car..
the tranny sticks out (length and width wise)..we knotched the frame alittle and welded it up for support..
the tranny mount is a different story...and TCM..
good luck..pm me for any other questions..

Re: LS Auto into EG civic (decypha)
What about the tranny mount and TCM? Did certain parts of the Integra not swap directly to the civic? Any pictures of this swap or parts of the frame you had to notch would be flippin sweet. Thanks man

This is an old email I got when I asked someone the exact same question.
"WARNING: Do not purchase a LS integra package(eng.trans.etc.) The LS auto trans. will be too big and the trans.mounts will not line up with the civic bracket PLUS the tranny is computerized with a TON of wiring!!!!!!!!!! Call a Japanese engine company and order a 92-95 JDM civic SIRII B16A2 automatic tranny and then any B-series motor (16,LS,C1,C5) with the ECU. The tranny side mount will need 2 inches cut off and smoothed. The lower wall under the T. mount will have to be cut out as well to make the engine/tran.fit perfectly like stock... SIRII tran.mount-(civic),MOTOR mount-(94-95 integra) rear tran bracket(integ.) rear tran mnt.(civic)
The reason you have to cut the chassis is because the Japanese civics are the same size (engine bay), but there is extra space in that area made from the factory to fit the B-series engine and tranny into it. American civics don't have that extra space."
