bothersome shifter noise
i drive a 99 gsr integra 5 speed.. when i bought it it came with a short throw shifter installed, to my knowledge its an ebay special, but my freind, who owns a 96 gsr and has an mfactory short throw seems to have the same problem.. at random intervals and rpms there isa rattly noise emanating from somewhere in the shifter area, we originally thought that it came from the stock shift boot's plastic collar hitting the metal shifter, but thats not it.. i think where the shifter bolts to the linkage there should be some kind of bushing or plastic washer.. does anyone know if something like this exists on the stock shifter or if we both happen to be missing it? thanks in advance
Ya I've got the same problem i'm trying to fix right now. There are stock rubber bushing that are common to wear out. pick some up at any NAPA store or you can order them online for cheap. 8-20 dollars.
