Default Please clear up s2k brakes on an itr

Ok, i found a couple of threads on this but they always seem to stray off very quickly turning into spoon monoblock calipers. I just got a 5 lug swap for my gsr but it was missing calipers. Itr calipers are expensive as hell and hard to come by and i have a set of 03 s2k calipers i can buy for cheap.

my question is, will i use 11.1" rotor or 11.8" rotor with 03 s2k calipers? any caliper bracket milling required? and will i be using the L caliper on the Right side and vise versa with the bleeder nipples upside down? also if the answer is 11.8" will this fit under a factory usdm type r 15" wheels?

They will not clear usdm itr wheels, I'm not sure about other wheels but I'm pretty sure you will need to run at least 16" wheels. I know that my Mugen calipers which are modified s2k calipers won't clear the stock rims. I'm not sure if all s2k calipers are the same but mine use 11.8" rotors

Are you having issues with the stock not working right?
Many ITR guys swear by the stock setup.

So GSR with Stook parts = different forum.

no, the caliper is literally too small. that's the reason you need the 23T bracket to do the ITR upgrade to a GSR

S2k setup wont work on an itr. I just put spoon ap1/dc5 calipers on my itr and i had hell finding out what worked and what didnt. You are right in that itr's are 11.1 and s2k 11.8 but the itr hub its one of a kind... way bigger than the standard honda 5 lug hubs. The holes line up but the rotor doesent fit over the hub. You'll have to take it to a machine shop to have them grinded down. I might have a set of itr calipers and brackets laying around. $150 picked up.

or..

You can buy 97+ crv spindles but they are going to be 36mm like the jdm itrs, but you can use 02+ rsx base model hubs which are 32mm and also is the standard honda 5 lug setup. Now you can buy those ap1 calipers and brackets, along with rsx type s rotors (11.8) and use the bigger brakes.

Hope this info helps. User name BrakeExpert was kind enough to pass on to me but he's no longer on this site.

was going to state the same. I research this awhile back when i had a jdm ctr setup from an ep3. When i found out it didn't work (didn't expect it to) i had to research. Bascily the crv uses the same bearing as the rsx base and type s. There for you will just need 2 hubs, 2 bearing and a press. BTW this will also work if you need to make your jdm itr 5-lug from 36mm to 32mm. Thats my 2cent lmk if you need more

some pn

44300-S47-008 wheel bearing cr-v, jdm itr, rsx base, rsx type s (all use the same one)
44600-S7A-000 32mm hub rsx base
44600-S87-A00 36mm hub rsx type s
44600-S47-000 36mm cr-v/jdm itr hub

Hope that helps

haha mugen brakes are the same as the s2k. honda i guess made the hub on the s2k purposely smaller so that jdm itr cant have a direct bolt on hence they will have to buy mad expensive rotors for it to work lol. Well I hope this helps out anyone that want to do the swap. I wish I had the funds to do it already and will probally do a write up if I do to help ya out. Have other priority for the car right now so the jdm ep3 ctr stuff is just chilling.

why not use nsx or legden calibers. does the s2k use a dual piston set like the nsx?

S2k uses a single piston caliper.
