Default V-Tec Solynoid on Y8 head and p28 ecu Help.

I'm running a JDM D15B block with a D16Y8 Head and P28 Ecu And I'm curious if i connect the v tec solyn and pressure switch to the computer will the p28 reconise the y8's v tec ?

because i have a check engine light and its for the dam v tec solenoid only. if i connect it will it work or will it only control the z6's v tec?

I'm asking this because people say the p28 is not the right ecu for the y8 head its completely different fuel maps.

Yea, it'll work regardless of the fuel maps.

If you're that worried about the maps, you can contact Phearable.net and get them to send you a chipped P28 ECU with Y8 maps on it. It'll cost you like $175 though. You can send your ECU in for chipping though and it'll cost a lot less. Either way, use the contact us link on their site to contact them since the Y8 maps I assume would be a special order.
