I have a straight piping on my accord because I have no cat,I keep getting pulled over is there any tricks of the trade to make it a lil quieter? gimme some feed back my exhaust is about 2.5 inches

 

buy a new exhaust

 

Trick: Don't run straight piping to an obnoxious muffler.

Answer: Put in a catalytic converter + one or two resonators. Or look into getting a chambered muffler like Flowmaster.

 

Probably the easiest thing to do is buy a more quiet exhaust. the apexi ws2 catback exhaust with no cat is quiet, and doesnt cost a whole lot.

 

add a quality resonator.

also a turn-down style tip under the car will sometimes help

 

I have 1 large resonator no muffler or cat. Its a 22 inch magnaflow resonator. While just cruising its not too bad. Its loud but compared to open exhaust, which is what I was running before, its very quite. However, if I get on it, it gets very loud. What you pick all depends what the car's purpose is, how often it is driven, where you live and how strict your emissions regulations are, and if you want the car to be nice and quite or obnoxious.

 

you could try a silencer but it would still be raspy as hell.... as said before, get a resonator, you can't expect quite with straight piping

 

i had 3" cat back no muffler it was super loud. I just put a megan racing muffler on it and now it is to quiet
