What are my BRAKE PADS trying to tell me? (pictures)
I went to do a brake job on my car and I found this unusual (well for me) pad wear. What does it mean???

On one corner it is really fat and beefy and on the opposing corner, it is all the way flat to the base. So flat, that it is slicing into the base (you can see on the top-right corner of the 3rd picture, the silver slice)
This is the Rear Driver side, and it is the inside/piston side pad.
Any ideas? Thanks HT. I hope its not the piston or something =[

i've seen that from a caliper misaligned. it's really common with the 23T upgrade on a DC or EG when you use the grinder rather than mill 3mm off the bracket. my first guess is misalignment of some sort. yours aren't really THAT far off. as long as your piston isn't seized i'd just slap pads and go. also, why did you say "i hope it isn't the piston"? didn't you test it already?
I went to pep boys to get the rotors turned, and i showed him the pad and he said it was the piston.
Hmm, I don't know what a 23T upgrade is... but either way it hasn't been upgraded. it's for a 92 nsx rear.
Is there any way to check the caliper pin? that seems it could make it wear like that... if one was sticking.

the 23T is the ITR upgrade for a normal integra. i could see a partially seized piston doing this since the pad would be dragging on the rotor. looks like new calipers are in your future
It could be possible that your caliper piston is deploying on an angle but not likely as the caliper would most likely seize if it did. Chances are it looks like a bad slide pin or as said before the caliper was misaligned or over tightened on the car. They have torque specs too.
Yes, with the caliper removed attempt to move the pins back and forth and check how smoothly the move. If they don't move easily or have a good deal of resistance try lubricating them. Pull them out one at a time, to make sure you don't accident swap their locations, and clean and lube them with a good lubricant (something high temp is recommended, like hi-temp urea grease or silicon based brake parts lubricant). After lubricating the pins should move much smoother.

I FOUND THE PROBLEM. yay.

The caliper bracket doesn't push against the caliper snugly on the bottom... and it is touching right up to the caliper on the top.
You can see this with the flashlight... the bottom shows light though it.. pretty simple.
I could fit a few sheets of paper through the gap on the bottom... and on the top, and passenger side rear caliper.. i couldn't even fit one sheet.... it fit perfectly.
And this is with me pushing it closed as HARD as I could... and this is the best I could close it.
So something with the pin? A rock inside the boot? The bracket is bent? I guess I'll find out on another day.. thanks for everybody's help!
