the control arms? There's cotter pins. As a last chance I would either go to a shop, or take the hubs off with the motor.

wt hell? take the hubs off? all u have to do is take the 17mm nut off the lower ball joint and use a pry bar between the upper control arm and the spring (prying up) and hit the side of the lower control arm with a hammer where the ball joint stud goes threw the control arm....i would leave the nut on a couple threads though so if u miss u dont damage the threads .....

dudue uve lost me u should only have to unhook the lower ball joint to swing it out enouph to get it out of the trans and then u will have to take the lower wishbone part of ur strut off to remove the axle once uve take the big axle nut off the outside of the axle off

IF you cant get the ball joints popped loose. take and unbolt the top ball joint from the strut tower and take the shock fork off the control arm. then you can turn the whole hub assembly left or right and have room to get the axle out
