Default 98 CW-ITR - Stock & Pricing Q's - 46k miles

A long time ago I inquired about some pricing questions here and just couldn't go through with selling the R. Currently here is what I am working with although I have a few questions regarding pricing (realistic not pipedreams).

-Original owner 1998 CW-Type R
-46k Miles
-Complete Stock not 1 single mod

There are 3 things which I feel may lower the price I am thinking although I am not sure. Here is what I am concerned about.

1) The windshield has some scratches on the drivers side. For some reason a friend of mine though it would be a great idea to use a foreign object to remove some ice. Hence, some scratches up and down the windshield.

2) There was an attempt of theft. The plastic console part is removes from the bottom. This is the piece that surrounds the ignition switch. When I went to price a new part, it is supposedly only $35 to replace and snaps in.

3) The alarm system is original and the remote to open/deactivate the alarm is completely shot. It actually takes a while to get it to work. basically the alarm system has to be replaced.

So I have this CW-ITR with 46k miles and really need to know what I am looking at for a price. This really does have to go this time.. I need to part with it. Currently it resides in a 24/7 secured garage and used maybe once every 2 months. I am the original owner with title in hand. What would you price this at? What is a good starting point to work with?

Thanks!

15-17K for sure. 48K is very low miles and being the original owner. I think i might have seen this one before in Denver.

it might ebay as low as 12k but 15k isn't at all out of line. i would not pay 17k though. i've seen 25k mile 2001 ITR's go for 17-18k

i bought a similar animal last fall ('98, 2 owners, stock, 38k miles, pristine condition in and out, clean title) for much less than 15k. guess the value is in the eye of the buyer/seller. i personally wouldn't value an original owner car THAT much more than a 2 owner. we're not talking a <10k mile car here! but that's just me.

just realized i didn't even provide an estimate, lol. i'd list it at 15k if you want to wait for the right buyer to come along, 13k firm if you want to move it quickly to a local buyer if you're in a major metropolitan area. if you're desperate though, and need the money yesterday, you'll probably have to rely on an out-of-state/internet buyer and go much lower than that - think 11-12k. it's amazing how fast people can actually come up with the cash at that price, economic conditions be damned

You might be able to get $16k if you have the time to wait out for the right buyer. Start there and see what kind of response you get (ignoring the typical Honduh kid low-ballers). I wouldn't let it go for less than $13k.

What is the badge # on the armrest?

Best of luck with the sale, hope to see some pictures of heR

i'd pay 15-16k usd and come across the border to get it and a maybe a little more if it had the window sticker and all matching vins stickers/tags and paperwork.

i am relieved clean unmolested Rs can still be found for reasonable selling prices, year after year. hell, even if you wanted a "new" low mileage one, they still go for around mrsp.

after all these years, i still want to experience owning one someday. hopefully next year. on the other hand, if i were mine and i had it since 98, i wouldn't think of selling it. goodluck on your sale, the car sounds pretty nice despite those minor flaws.
