j/w if this welder good for welding exhaust pipe?

 

Anything more complicated than pliers from harbor freight is usually a crap shoot

 

whatever you decide to get, stay away from their mig wire. It is absolute junk. I got less splatter cutting things with the oxy/acy torch. I made the boss return the other rolls of that garbage, it was that bad. As far as the wleder, its probaly junk also. I dont have any first hand experience with it, but I do with the other junk they sell.

 

I wouldnt bother with anything without gas.

 

NO DONT DO IT !! i bought the same welder a few years ago and never had anything so brittle and useless, i weld for a living and i never seen a piece of **** like this before . NO, its not even good enough for exhaust, i call it a spatter gun because thats all it does is throw spatter everywhere and thats it! YOU WILL BE GIVING YOUR MONEY AWAY IF YOU BUY IT>>>>> such a POS it shouldnt even be on the market... **** HARBOR FREIGHT

 

I've got a roll of their ER70S-6 wire in my machine right now, and I wouldn't say it splatters more than any other wire I've used. It is solid core, not flux, so maybe the flux is bad stuff.

I get some things from harbor freight, and some you couldn't pay me to take. that welder falls into the second category.

Look for one of the miller/hobart/lincoln/esab 110v migs
