Default OEM Rebuild B18C1

Im picking up a b18c1 from a buddy that has 200k on it. I plan to rebuild it using all oem parts. Im buying oem pistons, rings, bearings, ect ect. I have a few questions the motor runs fine as it is, Is it fine to reuse the rods even though they have over 200k on them? Should i replace valves, springs, valve guides, and cams because of the mileage? Or can i just reuse everything in the head and have a valve job done?

Just looking for opinions on this, motor will be going in my ek hatch and i just want a reliable motor that i can beat on ever now and then.

I would think the original rods would be fine, but I'd replace the valves and springs. If you're pulling from the Honda parts bin, why not mill the head a bit and drop in some ITR cams?

1) recondition the rods.

2) Bore and hone, if you want the new rings to actually seal.

3) With 200k miles, I would say yes the valves, guides, LMAs, maybe seats should be replaced. The best thing to do is send the head to a competent porter and let them recommend what to do. Your really can't tell over the internet.
