had the b16 in a 91 civic std and everything worked great... Put it in a 90 integra gs 4 door both obd0... Now i wired everything the way its supposed to... even had it checked!!! NO CODES!! so my idle is high, it starts hard cold, overheats when sitting because fan doesnt turn on and VTEC DOESNT WORK!!! also i have my o2 sensors unpluged and that doesnt throw a code either. i have also tried a friends ecu and it still does everything.. someone that i work with told me that my ecu is running in a "open loop"? probably something with my cooling system like a sensor or wiring? WTF someone who knows something PLEASE HELP!!!!?

 

check your ecu connections also check the sensor on the thermostat and the other 2 cooling temp sensors right on top of the vtec solinoid one is a pin like plug the other is a reg plug. those unpluged would explain your overheating problem,vtec crossover and maybe also your high idle.

 

i have checked those and they are both plugged in and i dont believe mine has a plug on the housing now i dont know if the wiring running to them are good but im assuming so being that the motor that was in there ran until he drove it through a huge puddle
