The upper ball joint on my car has a tare in it. Is it bad to be driving around w/ it like that? I plan on replacing it eventually....just wanna know if it should be replaced asap or if it can wait a little while. Thanks

 

It can probably wait a little while.

But really, there are only 2 things holding your knuckle (and by attaching to that, the wheel) to the car, which are the ball joints. Do you really want to risk driving while knowing that one of them is no longer lubricated properly?

 

Thanks for the response. No I don't want to risk it at all. I really wasn't sure the severity of it. I have been lubricating it as much as possible if that even helps. im hoping to find a replacement for cheap.
