How do I take out the front upper ball joint? I bought adjustable ball joints to help with my negative camber on my 96 and I can't figure out how to get the old ones out of the control arm.

 

there is probably some sort of a snap ring helping to hold it in, have you already removed that?

 

No I have not removed that. I'll go take a look at it again. Thanks.

 

keep in mind there might not be, I'm just taking guess based on the fact that the lower ball joint have them. I've never looked closely at the upper ball joint because I figured if mine ever went bad I would just replace the upper control arm and ball joint as a set.

 

So I've been out there for the past few hours trying to get this thing out and it is giving me alot of trouble. There was no ring holding it in but the top was welded onto the control arm. So we've grinded the top of the ball joint flush with the control arm and been trying to pop it out with all kinds of stuff and can't get it out. In a few minutes Im going back out to take the control arm off completely and see if I can get it out with it off the car.

 

The ball joint came out really easliy with the control arm off the car. Only problem is that the adjustable ones I bought do not fit like they are supposed to. So now my car is sitting in my driveway in pieces because the accord store isn't open today and I can't return them.
