I did 200/130 with the type C's on my b18c1. Tuned on hondata s200. What did the car make before the cams? With i/h/e and mild cams my b18c5 put down 185/123.

something is diffenitely wrong. itr should make around 160hp stock. those cams are alil too agressive but should not be the problem. your graph shows it stops making power after 6200rpm. just levels off til redline. kinda weird. hope you find your problem cuz that sucks.

Maybe it needs more holes in the bumper.

Looks like you might be restricting the motor somewhere.

i didn't hear it. i sold a motor a while back and the shitty tuner left a vafc connected as he attempted to tune the maps via crome. vtec never activated through his software and the motor consistantly spat out 14xwhp. when the vafc issue was sorted, and vtec actually worked, the 1st pull was in the 180whp area

ninja edit-op, blox b's would be a much better option than the c's in ur set up

Get Vtec working first. Blox B's are also a good choice tho. The day before my dyno a type-r with no accessories put down 207 whp with blox b's. A local gsr put down 192 whp also.

So instead of explaining why you posted what you did, you come with a reply like this? Are you just mad at the world.....did your mom refuse you a **** or something?? I'm just confused why you would rec. the "B" when the B and C have the same vtec lobe and share very similar primaries? Damn.

Maybe he was assuming they were just a step down in terms of "stages" for cams...

To the OP.. Do not worry about the cams, they are not going to lose the 30-40whp you are seeing. Figuring out what is wrong with your motor is step one!

damn, vtec didnt seem to have engaged like they all said. i know shane is a good tuner, cuz he tuned my LS-T, but i guess he might not know too much on N/A. try going to Jordan, he might have better knowledge on all motor. Shane knows more about boost also since he deals with his DSMs.

Nah, Roldo is too smart for that. He and I have "exchanged" words before, I respect the guy but I really dislike him sometimes...he and "Chillinit" like to gang-up on me

I stated to the OP that the tuner is " suspect". Hai insists they tested everything So I went ahead and confirmed that I will exchange his type C's for type B's.

However, I would not be suprised if his car still doesn't make any power after the cam change due to whatever is wrong with his vehicle.

I had recommended type C's because I know what they've done for redGSRguy and haven't seen many type B's make great power on stock bottom end. Not to say they wont make great power, but in the high 190's to low 200 ranges , I personally have not seen without a nice assortment of bolt ons that work well together.

In addition, OP stated they were more interested in top end power than anything else.

Hai, your cams shipped out today Hopefully you get the cars issues fixed and figured out.
