B-series starters, interchangable?
I got a really good deal, 80$ for a rebuilt B-series starter and alternator. I have a 1992 integra Ls and the starter that was on it looks different than the one I bought, however it bolts right up. The conections are not exactly at the same place though.
My question is, even if its from another B-series, and it looks different, since it bolts up to the factory bolt locations, it should work right? Second question, there should only be 2 wires on the starter right? The one from the battery and the little flat clip? I was wondering since there is another bolt hole on both starters and I was wondering if it was needed a ground or something.
thanks!

well I tried to start the car and when I did, there was this loud repetitive tic sound and the lights on my cluster where flashing at the same time...

My starter went out on me today, and when I swapped my engine last week, the alternator was not good, and then I changed it yesterday for a used one, still not good. I need the car for tomorrow for work, all junkyards are closed because its sunday, so are autoparts stores. I got this deal really quick today of two rebuilt parts and I am working on the car now. I took a chance by buying it and installing it, and now I seem to have an electrical problem, like if I forgot to put some ground on it (wasn't any on the old starter).
Should have asked first, but I bought the starter and alternator 40 mins ago and the guy wasnt available later.

well since my battery is dead because of my bad alternator I put another one (that is almost dead too) and the car cranked 2-3 times before I got no current so I guess the starter DOES work! I also added a ground from the top of the starter (where there was an empty bolt hole) to the chassis, I don't know if that made the difference.
