#670 Theft Update#3992 (Good News!)
Well, As most of you know, my R was broken into and stripped at my home, then while it was at the dealership getting estimates done, it was broken into 4 more times and COMPLETELY stripped...
After a LOT of footwork on my behalf, I got good news from the local police dept today. They have 2 guys in custody, pending felony charges. The police caught them in posession of my wing, and possibly some other parts. Maybe now I can get the insurance company to settle with me!
Finally some justice!

How long has this been going on? It's seem like your insurance company is a bunch of @ssholes. Who is the company? And why was it taking so long?
I am with Allied insurance...And It's been ongoing since Feb, 22 2002. It has taken so long, because instead of looking for the people that actually did it..Allied "seems" to have been concentrating their investigation on me.
Your lucky man, just hope that they don't get off the hook. The guy that was caught driving my stolen prelude got away just about scott-free. He had no prior record so they dropped the charge of possession of stolen property to a bunch of seperate misdemeanors which meant all he got was community service (in the bronx NY) and some fines. That pisses me the F off. Its such **** that if the person isn't seen stealing the car, they can't be charged with stealing it. I think if anyone is caught driving a stolen car they should take the rap for stealing it. IMO of course.
Go to the trial, after the sentencing as the thieves walk by you ask them "Have you ever had your sh*t pushed?!"
Good to hear some progress for your case.

Cool, I hope they get some time so Leroy can take care of them in the slammer. How did they strip it while it was at your house? and what did they take?
That's some good news.
I was hoping they were buying you another car!
But I've got to ask (really), how do they know it was your wing?
Fingerprints? .... anyway, good to see some progress. Ed

And...The part remaining on the wing, just so happens, to EXACTLY match the part left on the car!
Not to mention I can describe the chips on it to the cops, in GREAT detail!
