i had taken off the hood for some mods and when i reinstalled it doesnt unlatch like it used to.

i tried to put it to where the paint was aligned but it still does unlatch perfectly.

is there a trick or a method to adjusting it?

 

What do you mean by unlatch perfectly? Does the release cable work as it should? Is there a spring action left in a latch? Mine was caked with grime and totally stuck. So I would recommend cleaning it well first. And you can adjust it by tightnening/loosening the main pin enclosed by a spring. Flat screwdriver will work.

 

i had unscrewed it from the two rear hindges.

when i pull the level in the car it pops up but it kinda snags.

lever works just fine.

it worked great before i took off the whole hood for some engine mods.

not sure on how to realign it.

 

loosen all 4 bolts move hood tighten

repeat if needed
