well im about to buy a used APexi EGT gauge and i just want some feedback from all you experts... the guy is askin $145 shipped... is it worth it?? and how's the apexi EGT stand against other EGT gauges??? i did some searchin but didnt find any comparison.... or feedback... thanks

 

i like buying used parts, but when it's for a EGT, i'd spend the time to get a new one...if the probe is messed up or stripped, that's more moeny down the drain...that's just MO though.

I have the Apexi EGT. It's bad ***. I love it, wouldnt trade it for anything. However, I will tell you this. When a lady ran me off the road and i had to replace my downpipe. When i tried to get the probe out. The steel i had tapped into, didnt want to give me back my damn probe!! So anyways, it did strip a little, but i managed to get it on the new downpipe without much trouble at all. Just see if the guy can give you some pictures of his. $145 isnt bad considering i paid $220 for mine brand new (and that was the best price i could find) but just make sure the probe assembly is in good shape.
