01 ITR help?!

Default 01 ITR help?!

Hey i have an 01 PY ITR

it recently started to have some shaking on the streering wheel and it only does it at certain rpm's. i've been told its the inner joints (not sure were that is) or the rack and pinion. but if anyone has had this prob before please let me know how to fix it.

Might want to check the axles to. Had that problem on my da and it was the axles.

Check tires and alignment as well.

well i recently changed the axels and im thinking it might be that but i dont want to change them again to find out its not the problem. i want to be a 100% sure what the problem is.

just a thought, does it do it at a certain speed too? could be something as simple as a wheel weight.

my type r shakes too cuz my car is lowered and now my axels are bent. jus buy axels from checkers or for u its called kragen life time warranty and its only 60 bucks

yeah i have it low but thats never been a problem for me ive had it lowered on ground control one year after i bought it from the dealer in 00. and just recently put brand new Constant Velocity Axels.

is ur itr moded? cuz stock it shouldnt be ur axels but im at 220whp all motor and with my car lowered my vibration is caused by bent axels. if its ur tires not bal u will feel it at any speed and same with alignment. but accel vibrations sounds like axels to me.

yeah its moded i have I/H/E, clutch, flywheel, and cam gears.

but im starting to think your right. im gona go ahead and replace the axles. ill let you know if its cured after that.

Vibration at a steady and specific speed usually indicate a tire/wheel balance issue. Vibration under acceleration usually indicates an inner CV joint problem.

100% with him!!! Balance your wheels or the CV joint need more grease.
