My friend just bought R1 racing coilovers and he wants to sell them to me for $200 brand new
are these good coilovers for my civic or do they suck cause i heard if you don't get good coilover they can strip.

My GF has some R1's on her 92 CX and they ride good if they are not DUMPED hella low. She is also using Tokkico Blues so her ride quialty is pretty good. I would suggest if you do get them then get some good aftermarket struts. They have not stripped and we have adjusted them a lot and there in great shape.
i never had experience with the r1`s but any kind of coilover, you should use aftermarket struts since the spring rates are stiffer. for that money you should pay a little more for ground control or skunk 2s. i have skunk 2s and they are a little bouncy due to the fact i still have 165k old struts. ive had them for over 2 years and not have a single problem with them.
i have a similar question also..my friend is selling me his WeaponR Coilover for $200..have you heard anything about WeaponR coils..are there good or not and its brand new..think its a good deal...thanks
i had the weapon-r circuti pros on my 00si, they didn't sqeak at all with tokico illuminas, handled very nice, the ride was good too until you went over a large bump.
