Default CRX Help

K i'm from the domestic world and after my last accident i promised myself that i would not race any more. That being said i picked up a 03 mazda p5 daily driver. A few days ago i ran along a deal a couldn't pass up and now i own a 90 crx si. My main question is this: I want to do an engine swap and after some research i decided to go with a b18b. Only question is what exactly will I need and how hard is it gonna be? I would take any help i can get. TY

this is one of those things where you research. look at build threads, swap threads, FAQs, etc...and google helps a lot too. theres lots of info out there on this topic. good luck to you.

Like he^ said this is just about the most common swap done to these cars.

A little research will go a long way but ill give you a hint....

-motor/tranny
-mounts
-axles
-shift linkage
-ecu

that is a VERY concise list.
there are lots of things that come up along the way, even more for a first timer.

bottom line: Research is key

dude the swap is super easy,i got mine done in like 4 hours,it should be a day.there is no wiring involved just dent your frame near the alternator to clear the integra pully.you also might need the DA throttle cable(not to sure for my hf i had to)DA axles

you swapped on an obd0 b18a, he wants to do a b18b. It's not plug and play with the obd0 chassis.

Hey i noticed the other day that the car i bought has a zc stamped on the motor and i know it is a sohc. I was just wondering if the horsepower was still equivalent to a d16a6 or is it a bit more? And could i use d16 parts on it?

K just replaced my tps sensor and my map sensor cuz the computer was throwing those codes. Now that those are replaced my idle at start is like 2000 and doesn't drop off. Am I missing something? And what would cause this??

Do you have any vacuum leaks?
Did you disconnect the throttle cable? If its too tight your throttle body may be slightly open.

Or could it be possible that the idle was adjusted while the car was running poorly? Now that it's running correctly, perhaps the idle has been adjusted too high.

Grog, your sig is great.

K fixed the throttle problem and car runs great now. I just bought a ac unit in about 4 pieces to see if my ac will work and noticed my belt is not hooked up. How hard is it to put in the belt, cuz I usually let someone else do it.
