Is my turbo Dead?
I just bought a garett T25(for my d16a6) off of a guy that i know, he said he pulled it from a 2nd gen dsm. So i got it home and looked at it, and it had next to none side-to-side play and spun quite well. so i bought every thing i needed to hook it up and i spent all day bolting every thing on. When i started it a little white smoke came out, but looking down into the inlet the turbo wasn't spooling, so i gave it a little gas(like not even to 2,000rpm) and it started to pore white smoke out( and spraying oil out of the exhaust of the turbo ) but when i let off the gas the turbo stop spinning again. so my Q is this turbo junk? does it need rebuilt, maby a bad seal or something? I know FOR sure that its getting oil to the turbo, and i just rebuilt the motor its going on so its not something with the motor. it was just running tip top the other day... any help would be appreciated. and im kinda new to this whole turbo game if this sounds like a newb typing...

is the oil line to the turbo sealed well? that would be the first thing i would check. seeing as how i am actually boosting my newly built motor in mine, but with an sti IHI... if everything is sealed well, the turbo may be junk, not sure, im pretty new to turbo too, so its a learning experience for me too
