Default Timing beit repalcement 2000 Odyssey LX DIY

I am about to take the TB on my 2000LX on as DIY project .

I am trying to find out more about whether or no to replace the hydraulic tensioner/adjuster in addition to everything else ( timing belt,. tensioner , idler, camshaft seals , water pump, acessory belts ) .

I found some info at www.odyclub.com - http://www.odyclub.com/forums/showth...threadid=42884 but really am not sure whether it is necessary to replace the hydraulic tensioner .

Do they go bad ? (I live in GA if climate matters ) - Thanks

They can go bad, and they will end up leaking. You won't know if you need to replace it till you have everything apart. If it isn't leaking, you're fine but you can still replace it for piece of mind.
