Default Question about lowering springs?

My buddy has a set of brand new lowering springs that he got from one of his friends before he died. Well i'm thinking about getting the springs because he totaled his civic but how can I tell what the drop is on them? He doesn't have the box or anything! I want to lower my car but don't want it slammed! Thanks!

do the springs have the name of the company? if so then you can probably go to a retailer and find out what the drop is. usually lowering springs dont drop too much(like 2 inches or less). if they dont then you just gotta install them and find out that way. there might be another way but i cant think of it right know.

hope this helps.

It doesn't say the name on them. They were never installed on his car so I don't know.

Here's some pics.

They look like eBays.

Notice: they're not progressively sprung, they're linear, unlike most high-end name-brand lowering springs...

..but I could be wrong.

They don't look very worn, If there was a name it should still be "somewhat" readable. But there just flat out isn't one.

Those look nothing like H&R Race springs.

H&R Race have several dead coils and are labeled clearly.

I know they are not H&R, I had H&R springs on my last civic.
I was thinking they were eBays.
Do you think they would ride good? I have a set of brand new KYB GR-2 shocks that I bought before I wrecked my 93 civic last year.
What you think the drop could be? Could I measure it and post the measurement.

Here is a Rear & Front pic.

Maybe Ebay springs. those will probably give you a 2-3 inch drop. get a stock civic spring and put them side by side. but from the pics it looks big. my cheap ebay coilovers are half the size of those.

I can't find nobody with just a factory spring that's not with a shock already.

Does anybody have a factory spring that they can measure for me, please!

they look like ebay to me...

in other news, whoever is selling those springs must be single or live with a few guys. Anyone that lives with a chick knows springs dont go on kitchen counters, lol.....or wd40 on the sugar jar there.

Have fun blowing those new shocks in a few months. Best bet get a pair of springs with the proper spring rate to fit them
