Default Interested in dyno tuning my b16 Jackson Racing Superchargered Hatch

2000 Civic Si B16A2 Engine in a 96 Civic Hatch

Planning on buying a GSR transmission very soon. I need those longer gears... this is my daily driver.

List of engine mods:
Jackson Racing Supercharger
Used an EX manual engine wire harness so was basically plug and play
P28 OBD1 socket chipped ECU
(B16 Si base map with 9k rpm and disabled knock sensor <~ probably a bad idea)
Walbro 255 LPH High pressure fuel pump
10mm spark plug wires
NGK Iridium IX plugs (plan to get cold plugs soon)
AEM adjustable Cam Gears
AEM hi-flow Fuel Rail
AEM hi-flow Fuel Filter with gauge
No-name Light weight crank pulley (Purchased a B20 stock Harmonic Balancer ~thanks koa~)
No-name Short Ram Intake
DC 4-1 header
2.5" custom exhaust from RoadRunner muffler to a type R replica muffler
Boost/Vac Gauge
Air/Fuel Gauge
93 octane pump gas
No Power steering but I do plan on reinstalling my A/C soon.

This is my first build and dyno. I need input or recommendations before I take it to get dynoed. I was wondering with my current setup if I will need more fuel or ignition equipment to get a better tune.

* Do they usually check the timing before dyno and adjust it while your tuning?
(light weight pulley doesn't have any markings and I have a timing belt cover on order)
* Will I need an Apexi VAFC/SAFC? Do you recommend another? Affordable
* Can they reprogram a chip to drop in my p28 socket instead of using a piggy back?
* Should I wait till I install the A/C and GSR transmission?
* Will they adjust the Cam Gears if needed?
* Should I get MSD Ignition kit like this before dyno? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=220386445742
(I've heard MSD and Forced induction is not a good mix)
* Should I get bigger injectors RC440cc before dyno? Recommend bigger injectors?

Whats an average rate per hour to dyno?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

POWER GOALS: Somewhere around 250hp 150+ lbs of torque would be sufficient

get a oem crank pulley. They are called harmonic ballances becasue they ballance the crank. You cant see it, but there is rubber in the oem pulleys. The rubber helps soak up the vibration wich can crack your crank.
Bigger injectors are a must. What a re your power goals??

Thanks for the info, the light weight pulley was on the motor when I bought it. I'm going for a moderate daily driver build. Somewhere around 250hp 150+ lbs of torque would be sufficient. I would like to upgrade the JRSC pulley to 8psi so I will go ahead and get the Injectors. What about the MSD? I mentioned buying MSD to my brother-in-law and he said it killed his friends car (prob never bothered to tune it) and that MSD not the two step system will just damage the vehicle when I'm running force induction. Is this true? This is the first time I've heard of this.

Awesome thanks, I've heard of John Vega actually and Tampa is not to far at all. That will definitely be a possibility. Thank you again.

so I bought the "missing link" valve today and plan to install it asap. This will help the map sensor not read boost to help my idle and stop the ecu from choking my system.

I also need to do the PCV valve mod. Remove the pcv valve and plug the hole coming out of the JRSC to help ventilate the crankcase. More info here https://honda-tech.com/forums/forced-induction-16/official-crankcase-evacuation-thread-turbo-hondas-pcv-catchcan-1199935/.

My Hatch was originaly automatic when i bought it. I swapped the D series auto tranny for a D series EX tranny as soon as i bought the car. I had to drill out the holes for the shift linkage to mount in the rear. Well, it seams that he B16 shift linkage is longer so Now i have to re drill the holes again and move them back. It was killing me.. I have a B&M straight short shifter and when i try to put it in first gear it is almost in my cup holder... Didn't realize it was something so simple...

its coming together...

Has anyone heard anything about MSD causing combustion issues with Turbo or Supercharged car? I plan to buy the kit and some bigger injectors soon but I don't want to buy something I can't use.

I had MSD, but people run stock dizzys and make 700 hp. IMHO dont waste your money on MSD ignition put it towards something else.

My brother-in- law saids the same thing. I've had the same kit I'm planning to get and the car felt like it was driving really smooth with it. It felt like it helped a lot. I might just save it for last and get the 8psi pulley upgrade instead.

If anything, I will get the 6al and use it for the rev limit. It's a lot more safe to restrict spark then to restrict fuel like the factory limiter does. I bet your DualCamEJ is sitting in your drive way with a blown motor right?
