i have a set of blox high speed lift cams....i want to know if i need high compresion to use these? i am shooting for 11.5-1 cr.

What do you mean by high compression?

BTW, 11.5:1 is fine for those cams.

 

someone told me that i would need 12.0:1 cr to use these cams....i got them on a trade so i want to use them.

 

Lol, what someone told you. If you research the all motor dyno thread or the 1.8L build thread or the RS machine piston thread, I sure you'll find most of the answers you are looking for.

BTW, is this a pump gas build?

im running the competetion series HSL's and am at 11.7:1. you will be fine but depending on your build you might get more out of some type B's. my tuner told me not to run HSL's on the build i had setup and I went and bought em anyway and prolly would have been better off with the B's so do some research in the dyno thread

 

would ctr pistons do it or should i go itr 's and shoot 75 shot with hsl cams and built head???
