well this is the story my friend is swapping a y7 into his ek cause its gng to b his wifes car so we did the swap connected every sensor and when we tried to turn on the car it just cranks but doesnt start we checked the fuel the pump is working fine we checked the spark and there is we checked the grounds they r connected. when we checked the spark plugs we noticed a little oil in on of them could that be the problem for not starting

also if u dnt have the original ecu will it start?

Compression test the cylinders and check the mechanical timing.

Is the CEL staying ON with the key in?

 

what kind of ecu did you put in?

 

i dont have the p2e i have a p28 and p06 do i really need the p2e to get it to start? the car cranks but wont start ...

 

Have you checked the timing?

 

get the rite ECU

 

sounds dumb but the plug wires hooked up right at the dizzy or timing off 180 at the crank
