i have a 96 ex with a stock motor, i was wondering if i buy an exhaust for my d16 now, could i use the same exhaust if i ever get a b-series? my question is basically asking if you can use a full piping exhaust for any motor basically

i dont think so cause the down pipe on a D series might have different blot patterns than the B series down pipe.

Yes the EX has the cat under the car. If you buy a cat-back you can swap in a b series and use the same cat back.

If you are talking header then no.
