Has anyone on this site experienced their Civc/Acura/whatever giving them a shock when they open their door (using the doorhandle)?

I've been experiencing intermittant stalling problems lately, and have done a few things to remedy the problem, but have experienced little success in the process. Today, my son, who drives the car, asks is is normal to get shocked when he touches the door handle or when he places the key in the ignition switch.... any thoughts or has anyone ever encountered this? Could it be static electricity or are you sure it's not?

 

i get shocked every once in a while after driving for a while ... doesnt really bother me

 

... static electricity... perhaps; my son just told me this tonight and he's off to swimteam practice. I'm just not sure... driving the vehicle, I've not been shocked, but it still stalls out on occasion... rob

 

... I'd be shocked if I finally fixed this hunk of **** (& be equally shocked if anyone has ever experienced this problem...).

 

i have a 99 hx coupe
i shock myself every time i get out of the car
its b/s lol and it drives me nuts!
