Default worth building a d16y8?

like the title says i was trying to get some ideas of what i should do. i got a 99 civic ex with a d16y8.im a daily driver looking for around300-400ish hp. im debating between many things. i was thinking of keeping my y8 head maybe getting like a a6 block then going from there resleeving it and boost it and so forth. or if i should do maybe a b16 or b18 swap. if i do the swap how much is it looking to cost me? is it a difficult swap? but any ways ill listen to any suggestions on what i should do so throw them at me! thanks!

no need to sleeve the block. stock d sleeves can go to 500hp with a good tune. But 300hp is easily doable for a DD on pump gas as long as your tune is good.

The only way you are going to hit that is forced induction. You should search that forum; it has a lot D series builds.

even though i am an N/A devotee, i would do a B16A swap and turbo it as opposed to a D16Y8.

build it up turbo at like 15-20 boost psi and you'll hit your 3-400 range no problem.
after the tune of course.
