Hi guys i was wondering if you guys can help me to find out what in the world is wrong with this accord. it sound like is going to start but it doesnt. i notice that the fuel pump wanst working. i didnt hear the pump so i replaced last week. (the thing is that the pump is one year old)and it work after that for a week now is doing the same thing. i just dont believe that the fuel pump get mess up that easy im thinking that something else is messing the fuel pump.. WHAT COULD BE???????????? is there a relay?? the ignition switch??? or what .... thank you....

 

I have a 1990 accord and my does the same thing...never kno when its gonna leave you stranded...its a relay under your dash...

The first item to check when the fuel pump doesn't run is the main relay for the fuel injection system, which is located way up under the dash on the driver's side. It's a very common and well-documented failure on all fuel injected Hondas.

Never ever replace a fuel pump without checking for power at the fuel pump connector first. Honda fuel pumps almost never fail.

 

also clogged fuel filter(s) can wear down a fuel pump faster, i would check them too.
