Default CVT Shift Cable?

CVT = continuous variable transmission.....

Im getting ready to pull my motor and the manual im using says to remove this....my question is, is this on all motors or only on Automatics...

im thinking its only on automatics since the function of a CVT is to allow the driving shaft to maintain a constant angular velocity over a range of output velocities. It provides better fuel economy than other transmissions by enabling the engine to run at its most efficient revolutions per minute (RPM) for a range of vehicle speeds.

i think its for auto, but someone confirm my blazed thoughts....

TIA

I'm 90% sure CVTs are auto only.
