Default blown head gasket wtf

all rebuilt everything, gsr.turbo. oem head gasket. correct fit.
after warmed up and running for an hour. we went to tune it...everything is fine until i hit boost. at .4lbs of boost the temp went way up. coolant seeps out the front by the exhuast mani.

arp head studs were torqued to 65lbs and the head was resurfaced
can any one give me a suggestion as to why this happened before i fix it
not torqued enough?
oem head gasket? (i heard they were good with boost)
cant be the head it was resurfaced

Were they torqued in the right order and in steps?

Did you use the moly lube on the headstuds?

so you said you had the head resurfaced. Did you check the block deck for flatness as well? Alignment pins get ****-eyed?

ARP recommends you torque to 80 with ARP Moly lube...

it has to be the torquing then, i did 65lbs. would 15lbs even matter though. the coolant is just seeping slowly and the temp gets to 230

You're supposed to re-torque after heat-cycling the motor... and did you wiggle the studs as you threaded them into the block? I've had it before where air gets trapped at the base of the stud and it "feels" tight but leave it five minutes, wiggle it around, and it will fall out of the block it's so loose.

Hello I was having the same problem and I call ARP then they say that the correct torque is 80lbs with arp lub.

i didnt retighten after heated up...but they were all the way in when i put them in referring to the wiggling and air pocket

after the motor heats up it will loosen abit at the new head studs?

your supposed to tq @ 25 ft lb in sequence & then to 80 & then go through the sequence again for a final check.
Some guys go to 50 for 2nd turn & then final tq down
Easy fix, just get a new gasket & do this.
Good luck.
