check engine light code - vtec spool solenoid valve (code 21)
Okay, so today i decided to flush and fill my coolant. After finishing up with that, i get the check engine light. I checked on it by doing the 2 wire jumper and found out to be code 21.
I unclipped both sensors off the solenoid/pressure switch, and unbolted the thing off. I was thinking and hoping it was just a blocked screen in the solenoid, but it was clean! Took the actual solenoid off to check to see if that was clogged too, but nothing! I have clean oil as of friday the 10th.
now I just don't understand why i would be getting code 21 after flushing and filling my coolant? Can someone on H-T help me out on this? T-I-A!!!

you may of just clipped a wire causing a bad connection. try reseting the ecu and check connections. and see if you have vtec. happend to me once and im still not sure witch 1 solved my problem!
yea, i rechecked my wiring and just refixed what was done a few years ago. hopefully after resetting the ecu, it'll be fixed for good! thanks for your input! I'll post up if i fix it!

when i went to take the thermostat housing off, i must've pulled the wires apart from eachother. rewired them up, resetted the ecu, and voila! No check engine light anymore!!
Earlier I only redid the pressure sensor and not the solenoid sensor. it was still taped up, but not connected! So it's cool...
Thanks Robbys89!
