What is the best drop for Ef9 handling
wat brand sway bars or strut bars have better handling potential for a ef??? and how far of a drop is better for a ef??? This is for canyon racing.
could you be a lil more specific with the "difference". less roll? stiffer suspention feel? grip? any details would greatly help
thanks for the advise. i heard a front lower sway bar helps the most out of all of them. but just wanted to know wat other people suggest. so far i just have the front of my car dropped about 2 inches and the rear is stock springs and i got the tower bar. so far it feels good but it doesnt feel like my old crx. That Thing was beast in the canyon!!!I regret trading it
well i know that i just want to also get the most out of the tires... i have kumhos in the front and some wide yokohamas in the back. i think thats how u spell it lol

it all depends on what your going for a little understeer or oversteer lower arm bar in the rear will help. If your looking for understeer a good spring rate is 12kf 10kr oversteer is 10k-12kf 14kr 24mm-28mm sway will help. as for brands of sways and strut tower bars there really all the same
i dont care if it has understeer or over steer i can handle both i just want better handling and im just seeing wat parts people have used on there cars and gotten good results.
. its like a mountain wit pavement on it wit sharp turns. i wanna go off roading in my honda like in cars haha it would be sick haha especially with the MUD FLAPS!!! hahaha MUD FLAPS ARE SICK!!!!
"SP" makes sway bars for front and back. The front one will prevent accessive body roll. But, it will introduce more understeer. The good news is the "SP" back sway bar is adjustable so you can counter-act that. Good luck and please use common sense when you are up there in the twisties.
Less body roll of course and def a stiffer feel more responsive. And I havent adjusted it yet to its stiffest setting. Although its boarderline rubbing on the shock and stock exhaust. If I would do it again I would have just gone with the ST rear sway for clearance issues, price, and since it seems alot of ef's are running them.
ok wat i ment to say was weather i was to get understeer or oversteer wouldnt matter which one becuase i have all ready driven different cars with both understeer and over steer. Although i would rather have oversteer than understeer. im just asking what parts will keep my tires gripping better and keep my car stiffer with less body roll. o and im racing the mountian about 40 to 80 max.... there is not that many straight aways mostly turns. and i have never crashed!!! or have came close!!!! i know wat im doing just wanted to see wat parts people use and have gotten great results. wat some people can do with tiens i can do with bootleg coilovers. haha so i want to get the real **** and own even more thats y im asking before i spend my money i work so hard for lol.
My thoughts exactly.
I can't believe how many people are giving this retard advice.
Do me a favor OP- sell your car, go stand in a canyon, and wait for someone to come "racing" around a sharp corner
I know the new search sucks but that is NOT an excuse for some of the **** ive been seeing on here as of late.

stock swaybar in the front is all youll need. get a 22-24mm rear sway bar in the rear from Suspension Techniques or Progress... for the springs.... a 400-500 lb springs in the front will be good for aggresive riding but for comfort youll be sacrificing... ground control coilovers are good but be aware that you get the right spring rates cuz my buddy got 250 lb springs in the front and theyre too soft.. many ppl suggested getting 400 lb springs for the front for handling so theres my advice on that.... koni yellow struts are good... if you do get ground control make sure you get the right sleeve for whatever shocks your going to have...

Really makes the second half of your sentence hypocritical doesn't it.

ok EIGHT-NYNE if lowering your car doesnt help u get better performance than y the f*** are all those F1 cars pretty much on the Fn floor like go carts!!! dont say dropping ur car doesnt do anything cause it does.you just have to find the right hieght to lower it to. a little tweek here and there on the coil overs and there u go. O and yes SP33 that is wat im saying. ive had people with full blown suspension ask me wat i have and when i tell them ebay **** they dont believe me. O and CT-Itr u sell ur car y make it a performace car if ur not going to do anything with it. go by a CAMERY or a freakn TERCEL hahahaha.if i crash my car ill let u know but ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN SO DONT GET UR HOPES UP

how cant lowering the car not help with performance? it lowers the center of gravity to potentially help the car grip better, suspension "coilovers" only do so much by themselves. What id suggest is do a little research and just pop in what each form of the suspension components does what. Front lower sway bar, Rear lower sway bar, pillar bars, Rear lower Tie bar, etc.
of course slamming your doesnt do **** for handling.
On my jetta a upgraded the rear lower sway bar to a nuespeed sway bar, I also upgraded the front one as well, and dropped my car on some nuespeed Race springs. Also Changed out my tires, And i was off handling highway 9 at 80 mph downhill.
its also possible to make your car perform well with shitty coilovers, youd have to tweek it here and there but its possible. Its just the majority of people run stock shocks that blown when they are maxed out
