i have a 95 manual shell with a 94 d16z6 auto swapped in but i do not have the manual ecu my question is would this cause in problems to run the car like this
off the bat the car idles high and has a CEL

also i believe the purge valve for the evap canister locate on the intake mani. would that cause any problems like surging or high idle?

you need the auto ecu. purge valve wont cause any idle problems. ive took out my entire purge, evap setup with no problems.

the motor isnt auto, the transmission is auto. The motor has nothing to do with it. And yes, running a auto ecu on a manuel is going to make it run like ****. No it shouldnt cause any damage short term, but i wouldnt be going around 'beating' on it for the time being.
