2.0L Itr dyno tuned at 113whp!!!WTF!!
no thats no typo 113whp. i earlier posted pics of my build. i ran a 2.0l stroker kit by scat,skunk2 cams shafts, skunk2 cam gears, obx itb's, apex worldsport 2 exhaust, supertech valves springs retainer and many other little mods. I have it at kingmotorsports right and mike l called me and told me the car sounds like a beast on the dyno but only put down 113whp and lose power when vtec engages. Would anyone possible know what can be wrong?
It could be a number of things.
Are the cams degreed?
I hate ITB's on street cars.
Is the tuner familiar with tuning ITBs? (Not knocking whomever is tuning the car.)
Also, with all the internal work, why would you choke it up with a small exhaust and some ITBs?

Sounds like compression is leaking when VTEC comes in. Timing belt could be off a few teeth.
I've seen bad timing belt assembly give high compression on a stock SiR-G, the reverse could also be possible.

could be bent valves or something in that area...
also.. since your a 2.0 and probably have your head flowing nicely with the head work and ITBs
why not try a three inch exhaust...
Im guessin that might work out for the better with your setup since its pretty simular to a K20.. and im a personal witness of 3 inch exhaust giving these motors at least 8hp gains

thanks for all the feedback i just got back from king and everything is screwed up. THe compression to low mike L @ king said it like 10.1. i paid for a 2.0l but actually got a 89mm crank and a 81 1/2mm bore which is about 1857cc a tad bit bigger than an ls bottom end which still doen't explain why i have less power than a d16. Does anyone know i go about sueing the guy!!! i Have all the reciepts my reciept clears says scat 2.0l stroker assymbling kit. Anymore feedback would be greatly appreciated! THaanks for all the current ones!
kings taking it apart now. im just can't wait im pissed and frustrated that i spent 8000 on my car and i would have been better off buying a d16. i didn't buy the engine it was a stock b18c5 that came out of my 2000-201 type r>
they're ripping it appart already? no diagnostics first?
he said he'll charge me $450 to take it apart and put it back together. but they couldnt physically find anything wrong with it being together still. he tried put thing the stock manifold throttle body and intake and it put down 122whp and 113wtq. they think it a bearing problem.. maybe the wrong size? who knows!
why isnt the original motor builder tearing it apart and working on it? if i was that guy i certainly would no longer uphold any warranty claims if anyone else touches the motor. you should take it to him first before anyone cracks anything open.



King should have better options/solutions than anyone on here.
