hey guys, i have an 02 si, one day the hatch just decided to not unlock? anyone ever had to replace theirs before? and if so is there a write up i can use. thanks

 

I droped a bolt from my spoiler in the hatch one day and it eventually got jammed in the latch. I had to climb in to the cargo area from the front and remove the interior panel from the inside with the hatch closed. It was a bitch, I had to force it out. and you can only pull back the top. Then I had access to get the bolt out and open the hatch. Even if something isn't blocking the lock if you remove the interior panel you can see if a pop-rod or something has come off. I would start there.

well my window got busted out over summer, so i hoping it just a piece of glass jammed in between. how did you remove the panel without the hatch opening? and i pulled back pretty far from the top but i dont ant to crack the panel

 

I did the exact same thing!!! It was still under warranty so I just took it to the dealer and said the hatch wouldn't open
