power windows in crx
i was curious to see how easy/hard it is to put power windows in a crx. i know that they can be sourced from an ultra rare lhd crx in canada and over seas. but what i want to know is if anyone has been able to conver 4DR system into a crx. while looking online i also found this..
http://www.a1electric.com/Merchant2/...ct_Code=HD31-K
its said to be a specific kit for the "88-92 crx" as they posted it, has anyone ever tried it?

yea i already posted that im not trying to go with LHD crx's that ultra rare from canada and overseas. im trying to see if there is any other type of alternative that can be used to get power windows in a crx.

I ended up doing it with the 4dr regulators, have I had to do it all over again I would probably gone with the A1 kit. 2 reasons...
1. Unknown usage of the power window regulators off a used car (driver more used and is more worn out in most cases)
2. Depending on how you swap it out the "gear" on the 4dr has more travel, so if you don't swap just the motor and keep the rest of the regulator you end up with a window that likes to bottom out on the door. (Not so good, live and learn) *oops
As for switches, grab some rear Legend switches and get yourself a EK armrest. The switches fit perfectly into those 4 little pop outs and it makes less wiring for you because both the driver and passenger can reach them and without cutting new holes into you door cards.

Perhaps if you could swap just the motor itself, if the motor isn't able to be detached from the swing arm mechanism then probably not.
I can't remember if you could detach them or not though.

I was able to make the right side work out, I took out the switch and easily flipped it over, I'm going to get home later and sketch out how I'm going to make a plug n play harness. I'll keep everyone posted
ok i have already figured out the wiring for the power windows here is my question...
can i have both my power folding mirrors and my power windows running off the same accessory slot on my fuse box?
given i dont really mess with my mirrors unless its to fold them in as im the only person who drives my car, and both options in my car only use current when i push their button. or will i be blowing some fuses? thanks for all the help guys..i will upload some pics of my power window set up shortly.

after thinking about it, i tried it and it bolted up perfectly, i thought about swapping out the motors to the opposite side. ie passenger in drivers spot and vice versa. has anyone ever tried it this way? the only difference i see by doing it this way is that the motor is upside down but i dont think this will affect much because the motor is still going to be turning its gear.
now here another question:
since i swapped out the motors and they are now upside down, will i have to re-pin the wiring so that when i push the button down on the driver side it wont roll up instead?

yes but if i had only flipped the switches then i wouldnt have the auto up/down feature on the driver side, it would be on the passenger side. thats why i decided to swap the motors as well. by doing this they face down instead of up which i dont think will affect anything.
ok so here is what i did. i swapped the switches and motors. so now everything works like its supposed to. when i push down on the switches windows roll down. i will take a small video when i get home. thanks everyone.
