any one familar w/ "L'Natural"'s setup? turbo desial sleeves!?
this guy i was talking to says that his engine builder talked to thiers and said that the sleeves that he is running are out of some turbo desial engine, and that he can put them in the h22 for us. he says that was what he was going to do. he said that he wolud get me the # to the machine shop today sometime.
what do you guys think about this?

I doubt that he's running sleeves out of some "turbo diesel" motor.
Most likely they're the standard iron ductile sleeves that "some" turbo diesel motors may also have. You can get them in various sizes and bore.
I wonder how much that "mechanic" is going to charge for that setup?

ya it sounds a little wierd to me also, but 2 years ago so did things that are common knowledge today, so i always try and do some reasearch before i go and call somone out, we'll see. and the other thing is he wants only $250 to put them in according to this guy.

the name of the guy that works at the shop is billy, i think the name of the shop is t-hoff or somthing like that, located in NC. any info on his work?

Hmm... well t-hoff is a machine shop here in Raleigh. I drive by there all the time. I don't really know anyone there though. I don't see what difference using sleeves from a turbo diesel would make. I mean, cast iron sleeves are already made for the H22, right? I would just give them a call and chat. They also have a shop in Chapel Hill.

Ohyeah! I read all about his new endeavours with angela and proudfoot racing. I can only imagine what he's got up his sleeve now, it's still amazing what he did with that second gen!!
