i own a 1990 accord EX with an f22A4 in it. im buying a f22A4 with a year stamp of 11/89. i ran the vin and it says its a 90 EXR. so question is will it fit and is there any differences? also when i buy parts like water pump and timing belt kit do i get for a 89 or 90?

 

if i remember correctly, 11/89 means, the month of november in the year 1989. so you would be buying parts for the 1990 year. the motor is made before the actual year of the car.

 

i figured thats how it goes. i had bought this f22A4 from meridian auto wrecking. they could not tell me origanal miles but said compr. was 190 across the board. and gave me a years warranty on engine for 426 bucks so i will get it tomorrow. i bought new clutchkit and timing kit. so i can get that stuff in while the engine is out. just had to make sure bout the year.thanx fer the help dude
