Icon2 Knocking sound during startup

There is a knocking sound.mp3 for a few seconds just after I fire up the engine (euroR H22). The bottom is stock and never opened in fact. I installed JUN camshafts and valve spring a several hundred miles ago. I tried a new oil filter and changed oil - did not help. I also tried removing alternator/aircon driving belt - did not help either. I guess it has something to do with oil not getting somewhere. My oil pressure gauge is not powered during cranking, but after the engine starts the pressure is about 85psi/5.8bar and 15psi/1bar in idle. So, guys, any ideas what could make the sound?

Could be Excessive play in your bearings from high milage, time for a rebuild.

It has 32000 miles, so if the bearings are worn it is not because of mileage...

Sounded kinda valve-ish to me. I know one of mine does that because the valves stick really bad. Could be that your motor sat for many years, moisture got in and corroded the valve guides

Brand new. And they are just springs, so they can't stick. I would guess they could cause problems if they are weakened over time, but that is not the case.

alot of cars have knocking sounds at cold start ups...it usually goes away once the oil circulates through the motor...what oil are you running?
