1. How much slack should there be on the Timing belt (b18C5)
(I have heard about 1 inch on the long side) please somebody confirm.

2. what is the alternator belt part number.
(i just bought one from Acura, and it does not fit part no. 31110-P73-A01)

just in case, it is on a 2000 ITR.

should be about 1/2-3/4 inch of play if it makes a whining noise then its too tight..

 

a part number with a "P73" in it is for an ITR. if it doesnt fit, you dont have an ITR alternator and/or ITR crank pulley.
