Datsun Z
Edit: Well it looks like after a week or 2 of postage that I have received a severe ripping for the mods done to my Z. Not like I feel like I need to justify myself to honda-tech, but there is a backstory. I got the car insanely cheap with the motor already in it but NOTHING else. And when I say that I mean nothing. So I saw some potential for a head turning, not-something-you-see-everyday car.
I cam from this:

And while nice...blended in as just another civic.
So this is what I found, and purchased in this form.

Since then I have spent 2 winters repairing the interior, motor and wheels fitment, as well as all of the accesories to what I think is a drastic improvement. It cost less compared to what I had into my honda by the time I sold it, and draws way more attention. Whether its good or bad. Now, it looks like it does below--- and has a little of this to back it up.

Still an ongoing project--- but maybe now a little more understanding. And if not-- well like some said. It was a great project that I learned a lot from and was fun to build. So haters hate away-- but I figured I would share something you dont see every day...
-Eric
Still a lot of work to get done, wire up a few guages, weather proof the cut fenders, get a harness bar welded in, alternator upgrade, could use a new fan setup, and god the paint is terrible after rolling the fenders but she sure does clean up for a photoshoot.
Unwashed, Unchopped--except for the plates

Ohh, a picture of my Miata, days after I bought it...like...3-4 years ago? I don't get it...
I think you ought to completely strip down the exterior of the car again and start new. It looks like one big fiberglass shell, very kit-car looking.
The 240Z has a very nice body from the factory, you've kind of ruined it, sorry to say.
Fender flares: Yes, please! But don't mold them!!
-Actually, don't mold anything it just looks plain wrong!
The wheels are rather played-out, and that has nothing to do with the fact that I personally always thought Equips were ugly.
The ovallish cutout in the front bumper for the FMIC looks very wrong, doesn't complement the car's lines at all.
The whole rear end looks like a poor attempt at a Daytona 65 Coupe
All of the bodywork looks, well, lumpy, for lack of better words.
And I'm not even going to say anything about the shift-boot and ****...
Just look at something like this for inspiration:

You drive a miata.

No, I don't.
I drive a bone-stock Maxima.
Before that I drove a turbo, 5-speed M30.
Before THAT I drove a Miata. Not going to say anything about Miata's here as you seem to have some mis-conceptions about them already.

If you can't take negative opinions, don't post pics on the internet. Or better yet, go back to elementary school and grow up a little bit.
The wheels are set in too far from the fenders, and the body work looks close to something nice and different, but not quite there. I don't know what to tell you in particular it is.
I love Z cars in general, though.

Is that harness "bar" strong enough to hold the seatbelts, looks to me just like a piece of flatbar bent into shape and welded to the cage....
That blue Z is awesome, been looking at that and thinking if I should get myself a 240Z and do it like that Wangan midnight style :D

on another note i think the car looks really good. A lot of hard work was put into the car and im loving the smooth lines for sure. It looks aggressive...
where are the money shots???
This is what happens, when stupid people try to add their styling, to an already beautiful car. They end up fawking it up. As owner of several Fairlady Z's, your car is a disgrace to the Z community. Porsche badges, fake replica wheels, unneccesary flares, pointless shiftboot, retarted tailights, absolutly hideous front end and you expect someone not to say anything about your crazy styling. Its shameful, what people do to classics, because they have too much time on their hands. Very sad...
Damn all the hate on E's car....
Its growing on me I still liked the old Eg lol
Not to mention the "fake" cf hood according to someone at Pats when we got cheese steaks after the boeing Auto X
