weird grinding sound

weird grinding sound
this problem has been going on for a few months now. i got kinda mad and ignored it for a while but now i want to solve the problem once and for all.
it all started when i got headers put on my car at a shop. the headers were previously on a 96 sedan so the guy at the shop did some fabrication to fit them on my car. everything was fine and dandy until i drove away from the shop. as soon as i start moving i hear this grinding sound. i take it back and the guy said the pipes were hitting something and he fixed it. about a week or two later it came back. im not understanding how this would have anything to do with exhaust pipes, or what they could be hitting. i thought maybe someone on here could have an idea.
this grind happens sometimes during normal starts, almost always on hard starts, and sometimes during turns. only in first gear.
