What are the Stock speaker dimensions for a CRX? Also where are the speakers located through-out the car? I am going to be replacing the speakers soon in my car and want to find out any info i can. Thank you.
front door 6.5".....rear side panels 6.5"...rear speakers were and option on this car
depending on model and if your does not have the speaker mount panel you can get one from many car stereo stores that sell METRA dash kits for about $20.00
or you can make a baffle from .25" hard board.

5 1/4 up front(you can replace it with a 6 1/2 though)
I have JBL GT-Pro Competition Series 6.5 and I had to cut the hell out of the basket in the door panels. I dont think any good working speakers will fit back there without any modification. The speaker magnet is just too big.

Heh werd, since its such a small car, ill prolly just put 5.25 up front and 6.5 in the back or side or whatever like your supposed too.
Check out http://www.crutchfield.com They can tell exactly what will fit.
for those who've totally cut the basket out... just how much mounting depth is there before you bump into the windows?
im trying to decide on a new set of comps but im not sure how much mount depth i have to work with

dont buy from crutchfield.....just see what fits.... take the model # and search on ebay for it.... guaranteed to find it way cheaper
If you aren't looking for crazy nice speakers get the Alpine Type-S they shold fit without cutting and they are a wicked entry level speaker. Since it is an Japanese company the 6.5 is actually a 6" which is what hondas actually use. I had 6" Phoenix Gold XS in mine, right now I have the 6.5" JBL Power Series but my basket is gone. There is a lot of mounting depth without that basket.
I put some factory looking poineer 6 X 9s in the rear. I had to put them in sideways, and used one screw to hold it in. But hey it works.
or you coudl go with the lanzar neodonium(sp) speakers which do to the use of neo...(i wont try again) in the magnet it is smaller comparativly to regular magnets
