Default Drivng without an Air Filter

What kind of problems can this cause?
Can it dirty the IAC?
What other sensors?
Possibly clogged a coolant line in tb or no?
Please help.

Bad! Very bad!

You really don't want foreign objects in your combustion chamber. I don't know why your car is lacking a filter, but do not drive it until you get one!

Ur engine will suck dust which will scartch the cylunders which will wear out the cylinder AND the piston rings faster.

Get a filter asap, dirt/gas/air are not the right combustion mixture.....

I've been driving w/o one for 10k+ without any problems. so long as there is an air box, that eliminates most anything foriegn going into your motor, but for the sake of safety, replace yours

I already know its not good,it wasnt intentional,I was just asking if the IAC or any other sensors can go bad because of the dirt.

way back in the day, i did the same thing but i wasn't as lucky, that shiet got sucked up to the throttle body and kept it a full throttle even with my foot off of the gas. so then i shut the car off... scared the crap outta me

I'm going to guess that you didn't drive very far without it right? I would think that if you had sucked up anything bad enough to clog up coolant lines in the throttle, etc, you would know about it already. Just a guess, but IMHO you should be OK. I'm sure I don't need to say replace your filter ASAP. And of course, if you do grenade your engine, why that's the perfect excuse for a swap anyway! Remember, the glass is half full....

Just trying to help... I wouldn't run my engine without an air filter for a second.

Cmon guys, how much is a cheapo air filter? We really shouldn't be having this debate.

driving without a filter may not show any immediate harm to the motor..u have to admit we re pretty lucky people...however in the long run..its like smoking..ur body isnt going to feel any big short term problems..but, in the long run it eventually turns fatal
